Another Eagle Scout soars

FREDON — Patrick A. Toriello Jr. of Boy Scout Troop 92 Fredon was recently awarded the rank of Eagle Scout at a Boy Scouts of America Eagle Court of Honor ceremony held at the Lafayette House. Patrick is the grandson of long-time Sparta residents Dick and Cindy Saunders. He is the son of Pat and Lisa Toriello of Fredon and the grandson of Al and Joan Toriello of Hardyston. Patrick achieved Eagle after completing 30 merit badges, and serving as troop Chaplin. The town of Fredon proclaimed Nov. 15 “Patrick A. Toriello Jr. Day.” Patrick received many accommodations for his achievements from the governor of New Jersey; Sussex County Sheriffs Dept.; Kittatinny Regional High School; VFW and many other people, organizations and companies. Toriello’s Eagle Scout project included developing a prayer garden and playground for the students of St. Joseph’s elementary school. Patrick Jr. is a Junior at Kittatinny Regional High School.
