Chamber names scholarship winners

Newton — Seven area students received scholarships from the Sussex County Champer of Commerce. The recipients are: Timothy McEvoy, High Point Regional High School; Shara Nguyen, Kittatinny Regional High School; Paul Bowden, Wallkill Valley Regional High School; Zachary Maher, Vernon Township High School; Oliver Badeoui, Sparta Township High School; Ashley Hastings, Vernon Township High School; and Timothy Stromberg, High Point Regional High School. The Sussex County Chamber of Commerce also contributed $1,000 to the Sussex County Community College Foundation to be awarded to area students attending that college. Funds for the scholarships are raised through the Sussex County Chamber’s annual golf outing held each June.
