College foundation honors Horsfield

    Newton — The ninth annual foundation ball for Sussex County Community College will be held on Saturday, Nov. 7 at Lake Mohawk Golf Club in Sparta, beginning at 6 p.m. The theme for the dinner, dance and auction is “Dream A Little Dream,” and will honor Tammie Horsfield, president of the Sussex County Chamber of Commerce. Glen Vetrano, Sussex County freeholder director, will be the honorary ball chairman. The annual ball is the foundation’s single largest fundraiser which supports student scholarships at SCCC. This year’s ball includes a silent auction preview beginning at 6 p.m. A cocktail reception with a cash bar begins at 6:30 p.m., followed by dinner and dancing at 7:30 p.m. The ball is black tie optional and will feature entertainment by Dee Cannizzaro and the VSOP Band.
