Stephanie Dec of Oak Ridge and Jacqueline Deschenes of Hamburg have graduated from Delaware Valley College in Doylestown, Pa. Drew University in Madison has named the following students to its dean’s list for the spring 2009 semester: Andrew Cranisky of Stockholm; Michael Fumai of Oak Ridge; and Erica Klemens of Oak Ridge. Area residents have graduated with bachelor’s degrees from Drew University in Madison. They are: Michael Francis Fumai of Oak Ridge; and Andrew William Cranisky of Stockholm. Oak Ridge resident Lisa Marie Costanza received a master’s degree in teaching from Drew University in Madison. Lauren Pugh of Oak Ridge has been named to the dean’s list for the 2009 spring semester in Villanova University’s College of Engineering in Pennsylvania. Leigh Kabatra of Franklin was named to the spring 2009 dean’s list of Emory College, the undergraduate, liberal arts college of Emory University in Atlanta. The following residents graduated from Seton Hall University: Kyle M. Seymour, of Oak Ridge, received a bachelor of science degree in business administration/accounting, Cum Laude; Jeremy Ryan Slate, of Hamburg, received a bachelor of arts in Catholic studies; Francis M. Florey, of Oak Ridge, received a bachelor of science in business administration/finance; Scott Jeffery Blain, of Stockholm, received a bachelor of arts in public relations and journalism; Samantha Marie Western, of Ogdensburg, received a bachelor of science degree in education/secondary education, Magna Cum Laude; Michael T. Jack, of Oak Ridge, received a master of arts in human resources training and development in December 2008; Cheryl A. Thumser, of Oak Ridge, received a master of arts in school counseling; Bethany K. Dixon, of Oak Ridge, received a master of science in speech and language pathology. Four area students were named to the dean’s list for the spring 2009 semester at the University of Scranton in Pennsylvania. They are: Tatianna Altamirano and Raymond Frey of Lafayette; Michelle C. Elmuccio of Ogdensburg; and Christopher R. Mefford of Hamburg. Stanhope resident Stephanie Bachmann Metz graduated from Ursinus College in Collegeville, Pa., with a bachelor’s degree in anthropology/sociology and psychology, magna cum laude, and a minor in biology. She was also elected to Phi Beta Kappa, the highest academic honor for undergraduate students. At commencement, Metz received departmental honors in psychology, the Jessie Ashworth Miller Prize, to an outstanding student of anthropology and sociology, and the Wagman Prize, to an outstanding and deserving student who has demonstrated loyalty to high ideals. While at Ursinus, she was named to the dean’s list and Psi Chi, the national honor society in psychology. An Ursinus Summer Fellow, she researched the topic “Generational differences in views of maternal employment,” and she served an internship at the Women’s Center of Montgomery County, counseling domestic violence victims. She also studied abroad at the University of Melbourne in Australia and in Costa Rica with Ursinus biology faculty. Christina A. Cosma of Stockholm was named to the spring dean’s list at Lebanon Valley College in Annville, Pa. Cosma is a recent graduate in music. The following students were named to the dean’s list at Seton Hall University for the spring 2009 semester: Farizeh Bedaiwi, of Franklin; Stephen Christopher Belmont, of Oak Ridge; Timothy Frank Belmont, of Oak Ridge; Christopher A.
