Sparta resident Jesse Treier, a 2005 graduate of Pope John XXIII High School, will graduate from Champlain College in Burlington, Vt. on May 9 with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. As part of the college’s criminal justice program, Treier will also graduate from the Vermont Police Academy on May 22 and will work in law enforcement in Massachusetts. Hamburg resident Benjamin Michael Shatsoff was named to the dean’s list of distinguished students for the fall 2008 semester at Roanoke College. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Shatsoff. Shaun M. Quigley, a 2006 Grad of Vernon High School, has again made the dean’s list for the fall semester at The College of New Jersey. Byram resident Grace Lauren Miller has been placed on the dean’s list at Gettysburg College for the fall semester. She is a 2008 graduate of Lenape Valley Regional High School.
