    Newton resident Anne Lockwood was named to the dean’s list for the 2008-2009 academic year in the College of Nursing at Villanova University in Pennsylvania. Area residents recently received their bachelor’s degrees from the University of Vermont in Burlington; Brett Dowgin of Andover, with a bachelor’s degree in anthropology and Samuel Sloane of Newton, with a bachelor’s degree in English. Angela DelCorpo of Stanhope graduated from York College of Pennsylvania with a bachelor’s degree in in secondary education-social studies. Area students recently received degrees from the University of Scranton in Pennsylvania. They are: Daniel R. LaTorraca, with a a bachelor’s degree in English; Jennifer Badami of Newton, with a master’s degree in educational administration; Nicole M. Spaldo of Stanhope, with a master’s degree in cccupational therapy; Michele T. Campo of Sparta, with a master’s degree in special education. Scott Brian Vladyka of Stanhope graduated from Gettysburg College in Pennsylvania with a bachelor’s degree in management. The dean’s list for the spring 2009 semester at Northeastern University in Boston included Newton resident Jul Aikeeme Ozoa, who is majoring in behavioral neuroscience; Sparta residents Gregory J. Williamson, who is majoring in business administration; Ashley Dickerson, who is majoring in criminal justice; Megan Powers, who is majoring in English; Sean R. Tooley, who is majoring in marketing; Phillip N. Harnois, who is majoring in mechanical engineering; and Justine M. Carlucci, who is majoring in psychology; and Stanhope resident Matthew Little, who is majoring in finance and insurance. Newton resident Caitlin B Messerle received a bachelor’s degree from Fairfield University in Fairfield, Conn. Recent Sussex County Community College business graduate Katherine Ross was inducted into the New Jersey Collegiate Business Administration Association. The NJCBAA was established in 2003 as a statewide honor society for students studying business at both two and four year colleges in New Jersey. She received an associate degree in business adminstration and the SCCC Excellence Award for Business Administration and will continue her education at Ramapo College this Fall majoring in Accounting. Edward Koellhoffer of Stanhope recently graduated from Boston College in Chestnut Hill, Mass. with a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry.
