    Alyssandra Docherty, a senior at DeSales University in Center Valley, Pa., recently presented her thesis titled “Women, Television and True Self Worth” at the university’s annual Faith and Reason Honors Colloquium. The thesis will be published in an online journal entitled “On the Wings of Truth” on the DeSales University Salesian Center Web site. She will graduate this month with a bachelor’s degree in theater. Her academic concentration was acting. She is a 2005 graduate of Vernon Township High School and is the daughter of Victor and Denise Docherty of Highland Lakes. Glenwood resident Dave Vitone recently received a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the State University of New York at New Paltz. Hamburg resident Benjamin Michael Shatsoff was named to the dean’s list of distinguished students for the fall 2008 semester at Roanoke College. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Shatsoff. Shaun M. Quigley, a 2006 graduate of Vernon High School, has again made the dean’s list for the fall semester at the College of New Jersey. Ruben A. Mieses of Lafayette and Sean Post of Branchville, both students at High Point Regional High School, were honored by Berkeley College for achievement in the study of business. The awards were based on nominations from high school business teachers.
