Madison - Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Rothman Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies is accepting applications for its 2009 New Jersey Student Entrepreneur Awards. Since 1998, students statewide have competed each year for prizes. The final awards are presented at a ceremony at Fairleigh Dickinson’s College at Florham. Each year, the judges consider a wide variety of aspects related to each student’s business. These criteria include: the student’s entrepreneurial spirit, obstacles the student overcame, the success of the business measured in financial success and market share, the student’s concern for quality and customer service and the estimated potential for the future success of the respective business. The application deadline is Monday, April 6. This program is affiliated with the Global Student Entrepreneur Awards competition presented by Mercedes-Benz Financial and produced by Entrepreneurs’ Organization. The total prize package is over $100,000 in cash and business products and services donated by members. Additional prize money is being awarded for New Jersey students.
