Kevin Mabey, son of Marybeth and Bob Mabey of Highland Lakes, graduated on May 5 from Coastal Carolina University School of Humanities and Fine Arts in Conway, S.C., with a bachelor of arts degree in graphic design. During his senior year, Kevin had his work displayed at the Rebecca Randall Bryan Art Galley on campus. Megan Wolff of Wantage graduated from Monclair University this spring with a bachelors degree in music education. She received the Dean's Scholar Award as well as the Dean Scholar Artist Award. She has accepted a full time choral directing position beginning in September at the Allentown (N.J.) High School. Kristin Tarczynski of Vernon graduated on May 20 from The Hartt School of Music at the University of Hartford, in Hartford, Conn., with a bachelor of fine arts degree, with a major in music theater and a minor in English, magna cum laude. After graduation, Kristin is moving to New York City, where she will be actively pursuing her career in theater. She is a graduate of Vernon Township High School. Kellianne Baumann, a graduate of Vernon Township High School, a freshman at Misericordia University, has been named to the president's list. She achieving a 4.0 GPA. Baumann is majoring in speech-language pathology. Jamie Roberts of Highland Lakes was named to the Dean's List at Villanova University for the spring semester. Roberts is pursuing a bachelor's degree in the Villanova School of Business. SUNY Oswego has awarded merit scholarships to more than 600 incoming students, including Shannon M. Dalton of Sussex, who received a $17,600 Presidential Scholarship. The award recognizes past academic achievement and potential for success. Dalton, from Vernon Township High School, will be a freshman this fall. Thomas Wilson of Franklin has been named to the spring semester dean's list at Lafayette College. Kristen Silvestri of Sussex has been named to the dean's list at Kean University for the spring semester. Alyssa I. Megna of Vernon was among the record number of graduates awarded master's and doctorate of physical therapy degrees by The University of Scranton at its post-baccalaureate commencement on May 26. Megna received a doctor of physical therapy degree from the Jesuit university's College of Graduate and Continuing Education. Colin B. Wells of Ogdensburg received a master of science in educational administration on May 26 from the Jesuit university's College of Graduate and Continuing Education. Kelly M. Morgan of Hamburg received a master of arts degree in history within the graduate college during May commencement ceremonies at the University of Vermont. The following area residents graduated from Quinnipiac University during commencement exercises on May 20: Ashley Chacon-Baker of Oak Ridge, who received a bachelor of science degree in health and science studies, and Kellie Reidinger of Ogdensburg, who received a bachelor of science degree in health and science studies. Kathleen E. Brennan of Highland Lakes was named to the spring dean's list at Lebanon Valley College, Annville, Pa. Brennan is a psychobiology major and Vernon Township High School graduate. The following local residents were among the students who received degrees at the University of Rhode Island's 126th Commencement on Saturday and Sunday, May 19 and 20: Alyssa Halczli of Oak Ridge, who received a PMD degree in Pharm D, summa cum laude; Marisa J. Iovino of Oak Ridge, who received a bachelor of science degree in human development and family studies, magna cum laude. The following local students graduated from York College of Pennsylvania on May 19: Justin Kalaskey of Lafayette, who graduated cum laude with a bachelor of arts degree in graphic design; Michelle Pease of Lafayette, who graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor of arts degree in professional writing. Gabriel Abraham Castro of Highland Lake was named to the spring dean's list at Juniata College in Huntingdon, Pa. Gabriel is the son of Franklin and Mildred Castro and is a 2008 graduate of Vernon Township High School. Drew Martin graduated from Grove City (Pa.) College on May 19. Drew earned a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering. He is a 2008 graduate of High Point Regional High School and is the son of David and Dorothy Martin from Sussex. The following local students have been named to the spring dean's list at The University of Hartford: Marissa Madonna of Oak Ridge; Thomas White of Oak Ridge; Brian Wally of Franklin; Ryan Maurer of Oak Ridge. Jacquelyn Ann Staple of Lafayette received a DVM degree in veterinary medicine from Iowa State University at their spring commencement ceremonies. Lindsay Martin of Hamburg, Alyssa Mayer of Sussex, Patrick Morton of Highland Lakes and Chelsea Schmidt of Sussex all were named to the University of Delaware's dean's list for the spring semester. Sam Studer, a resident of Stockholm, has been named to the spring dean's list at Roger Williams University in Bristol, R.I. Sam is a psychology major. The following area students received diplomas from Dover Business College during commencement ceremonies held May 12: Shannon Anderson of Glenwood, practical nurse; Jessica Apolito of Hamburg, medical assistant; Dawnmarie Imparato of Highland Lakes, medical assistant; Bridget Largey of Vernon, practical nurse; Fabian Loza of Hamburg, surgical processing technician; Heather Meyer of Franklin, medical assistant; Christa Muller of Branchville, medical assistant; Shari Nessine of Wantage, practical nurse; Denise Nolan of Vernon, medical assistant; Cynthia L. Palmer of Hamburg, practical nurse; Patricia Postel of Hamburg, surgical technologist; Ian Price-Davis of Sussex, medical assistant; David Welsh of Sussex, PC support and network administration; Lisa A. Wong of Sussex, surgical technologist. Warren W. Erdmann of Oak Ridge has been named to the dean's list at Western New England University in Springfield, Mass., for the spring semester. Tim Aldrich of Sussex, a secondary education and mathematics major, graduated May 24 from Bloomfield (NJ) college. Jamie Pawlick of Oak Ridge, a senior English major, was named to the dean's list at Lycoming College (Williamsport, Pa.) for the spring semester. Ashleigh Fox of Oak Ridge has been named to the dean's list for the spring term at Chatham University in Pittsburgh, Pa. She is a second-year student at Chatham University. The following local residents were among the 200 graduates of Lancaster Bible College who received degrees or certificates at the annual commencement exercises Friday, May 11: Brittany Garrett of Wantage received a bachelor of science in bible degree in bible ministries; Jennifer Garrett of Wantage received a bachelor of science in bible degree in bible ministries. Jamie Fieldhouse, a health science major and resident of Vernon, was among more than 600 students from Saint Francis University, Loretto, Pa., named to the spring dean's list. Michael Annunziata had the highest score in Integrated Science among Sussex County students who participated in the 62nd Annual Merck State Science Day held in May. The competition is between individuals and among teams of secondary students in the areas of biology, chemistry, physics, integrated science and advanced integrated science and is sponsored by the New Jersey Science Teachers Association and the Merck Institute for Science Education. Annunziata was a senior at Vernon High at the time of the test. He is the oldest of the five children of Michael and Jane Annunziata of Vernon. While at Vernon he has been a member of the baseball team. In the fall he will be attending Wake Forest University as a business major with a concentration in finance. The following students have been recognized for academic achievement during the spring semester, and have been named dean's list honorees at the College of Saint Elizabeth in Morristown: Pauline Crabb, a resident of Franklin, who is pursuing a bachelor of arts degree; Veronica Beck, a resident of Oak Ridge, who is pursuing a bachelor of arts degree.
