Derek VanAlthuis of Sussex has been named to the dean's list at Trinity Christian College for the spring semester. Trinity Christian College is located in Palos Heights, Ill. To make the dean's list, students must be enrolled full time and earn a minimum 3.5 grade point average.
Robert F. Paddock III graduated on May 15 with a baccalaureate degree in civil engineering from NJIT, The New Jersey Institute of Technology. Paddock is an active member of the jurisprudence committee of his fraternity, Tau Delta Phi. He also served as philanthropy chair of the fraternity and as its treasurer from 2010 through 2011; was a recipient of the NJIT faculty Scholarship 2007 through 2009, and a co-founder of the NJIT Music Society.
Paddock, the son of Robert and Jill Paddock of Hardyston, is a 2007 graduate of Sussex Technical School.
Rocco Joseph Tironi of Ogdensburg, a 2007 graduate of Wallkill Valley High School, earned a bachelor of science degree in psychology from William Paterson University during the commencement ceremony held on May 22. He graduated summa cum laude. Tironi was president of the psychology national honor society. He was awarded the Excellence in Academics, Research and Service Award during the Honors Convocation held May 15. He plans to continue his education by pursuing a PhD in psychology.
Nicole Lynn Tironi of Ogdensburg, a 2009 graduate of Wallkill Valley High School, earned a New Jersey license in Swedish and medical massage therapy from the Institute of Therapeutic Massage in Haskell, New Jersey in August 2011. She is employed by Grano Chiropractic in Andover and Hamburg and also provides massage therapy on an individual basis as a consultant.
