Hughes is new Centenary vice president

Hackettstown resident Scott C. Hughes was recently named vice president for information technology and chief information officer at Centenary College. A member of the Centenary staff since 2004, he will serve as a member of the College’s Executive Staff, while remaining in charge of the IT Department. Hughes joined Centenary as a consultant, became a database administrator and then served as systems engineer before he was promoted to information technology director and chief information officer. Hughes received his bachelor’s degree from Rutgers, an MBA from New York University, and is completing his doctorate degree in advanced technology supporting genetic research, also at New York University. He is also currently enrolled in a pre-med program at Columbia University.
