    Anthony Joseph Borino, Sr., 74 years old, died after a long illness at Lennox Hill Hospital, New York City, N.Y., on Tuesday, June 26, 2018. Born to Joseph and Mary Borino in Montclair, NJ, he lived in Little Falls before moving to Vernon 46 years ago.
    Anthony served with the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War and then worked as a truck driver and then as a machinist for Titanium Industries, Fairfield, N.J., before owning and operating Borino’s Deli in Vernon before returning to Titanium Industries retiring in 2003. Anthony was active with the Totowa and Franklin American Legions as well as the Vernon VFW, played football in his youth and was honored to the Passaic Valley High School Sports Hall of Fame for football, he was also involved with the Vernon PAL Rifle Association and took great joy in the shooting sports.
    Anthony is predeceased by a son, Joseph Borino(1969) and is the beloved husband for 50 years of Judith “Judy” Borino(nee Tirri) of Vernon Twp., NJ. Devoted father of Carlos Borino and his wife, Rocio of Seville, Spain, Anthony Borino, Jr. of Middletown, NY, Neil Borino of Dingmans Ferry, PA, Carl Borino and his wife, Rebecca of Vernon Twp., NJ and Philip Borino and his wife, Priscilla of Branchville, NJ. Loving grandfather of Andrew, Olivia, Nicole, Hannah, Sarah, Isabella, Nathan, Carlos and Rocio. Dear brother of Theresa Stern of West Milford, NJ.
    The family will receive their friends at Ferguson-Vernon Funeral Home, 241 Route 94(1 Vanderhoof Court for GPS), Vernon, NJ on Thursday, June 28, 2018 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral from the funeral home on Friday, June 29, 2018, at 9:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Francis deSales RC Church, Vernon, NJ at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Northern NJ Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Sparta, NJ.
