Artte J. Koning

Artte J. Koning of Sussex, N.J., formerly of West Milford, N.J., passed away on Sunday, May 30, 2021. He was 57.

He was born on May 7, 1964, in Paterson, N.J., to the late Mary (nee Yodice) and the late Edward Koning.

Artte married Karen Gillow in 1990 and resided in West Milford, where they raised their children.

For many years Artte drove a truck for both Dell Contractors and Smith-Sondy Asphalt Construction Company in Wallington, N.J.

He was predeceased by his dear parents, Mary and Edward Koning.

Artte is survived by his beloved wife Karen; his loving children Joshua, Justin, and Lauren; his cherished grandchildren, Chase, Joslyn, Jordyn, Piper, and another one on the way; his brothers Thomas Koning and Dwayne Koning; and his dear nieces Mary, Lisa, Rachel, Kaitlin, and Kellie.

A memorial visitation will take place on Saturday, June 12, from 2 to 4 p.m. with a prayer service at 4 p.m. at the Stickle-Soltesz Funeral Home, 187 La Rue Road, Newfoundland, NJ 07435 (for GPS use 1 Post Place).

Final disposition will be private.
