Audrey Sargent

Audrey Sargent, 80, died Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at Overlook Hospital in Summit. Mrs. Sargent, daughter of the late Thomas and Martha (Compton) Dyer was born in Sussex on Feb. 26, 1934. She was a lifelong resident of Wantage Twp.

Mrs. Sargent was a school bus driver for many years before later retiring from the U.S. Postal Service, Sussex Post Office where she worked for more than 20 years. She was a member of the Beemerville Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Sargent was predeceased by her husband Charles A. Sargent Feb. 7, 2014. She is survived by her children, Scott Sargent and his wife, Ilene, of Wantage, Gary “Buzz” Sargent and his wife, Cheryl, of Branchville and Patricia Francavilla and her husband, Frank, of Wantage; Grandchildren, Melissa Vanderberg and her husband Daniel, Matthew Sargent and his wife, Ashley, Stephanie Phillips and her husband, Scott, Victoria Francavilla, Nicholas Francavilla, Erin Longo and Rob Longo; great grandsons, Anthony Longo, Brody Phillips and Jaxon Phillips.

A Funeral Service will be held Sunday, March 16, 2014 at 1 p.m. at Beemerville Presbyterian Church 226 Rt. 519 Wantage. Interment will follow at Beemerville Cemetery. Friends may call at Ferguson Funeral Home 27 Third St. Sussex on Saturday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Beemerville Presbyterian Church 226 County Rt. 519 Wantage, NJ 07461.
