Bernadette Eileen Nolan

    Bernadette Eileen Nolan (nee Keck), 84 years old, died after a short illness at her residence on Sunday, Feb. 2, 2014. Born to Anthony and Christina Keck in Brooklyn, N.Y.,, she had lived in Queens and vacationed in the Lake Wallkill section of Vernon Twp., NJ for 10 years before moving there 30 years ago.

    Mrs. Nolan had worked as an LPN at Wallkill Hospital in Sussex for five years before retiring in 1990. She was a parishioner of St. Monica’s RC Church, Sussex, N.J., a member of the Lake Wallkill Community, was an avid walker and enjoyed her family, her faith and her dogs.

    Mrs. Nolan was predeceased by her husband, Mortimer Nolan (2007), a grandson, Thomas Nolan (1990), five brothers, John, Joe, Henry, Anthony and Bill Keck and a sister, Mildred Guthy and was the devoted mother of Marty Nolan and his wife, Mary of Queens, NY, Billy Nolan and his, wife, Patty of Greenwood Lake, NY, Danny Nolan and his wife, Lorene, of Wantage Twp., NJ and Jean Nolan at home in Lake Wallkill. Loving grandmother of Ellen, Kim, Becky and Kyle; cherished by 3 great grandchildren. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

    The family will receive their friends at Ferguson Funeral Home, 27 Third Street, Sussex, NJ on Friday, Feb. 7, 2014, from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral from the funeral home on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014, at 9 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Monica’s RC Church, Sussex, NJ at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Clove Cemetery, Wantage Twp., N.J.
