David M. Jones of Stockholm, N.J., passed away on Monday, Jan. 4, 2021, at his residence in Stockholm. He was 52.
Born in Englewood to the late Norman and Joanne Rose (Vegliante) Jones, Dave was raised in Vernon, N.J., and attended Vernon Township High School. He had been a Resident Assistant for SCARC, a handyman, and most recently a caretaker.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his significant other, Joann “Joey” Costello. He is survived by his loving sister, Karina Phelan and her husband John Phelan II of Saddle Brook and his nephews and niece, Jake, Ryan, and Gi.
A celebration of life visitation was held Jan. 13, 2021, at the Pinkel Funeral Home, Sussex. A service directly followed at the funeral home.
Dave was a tremendously caring soul and very generous of heart. He made it his priority to protect and care for his little sister to the very best of his ability through all their growing up years and beyond. It was Dave’s heart’s desire to help anyone he could, especially the innocent.
