Donna M. Holden

Donna M. Holden, 68, died Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2015, at Hackensack University Medical Center. Ms. Holden, daughter of the late Donald and Vivian (Ferris) Puvogel was born in Mineola, N.Y., Jan. 5, 1947. She resided in Franklin before moving to Vernon Twp. 15 years ago.

Ms. Holden owned Little Learners Preschool in Hardyston Twp. for 30 years and had also worked at The Central Restaurant in Sparta. She was a parishioner and eucharistic minister at Immaculate Conception RC Church, Franklin.

Ms. Holden is survived by her sons, Christopher Carroll and his wife, Denise, of Howell, Jonathan Carroll of Manhattan, N.Y., and Matthew Holden and his wife, Erin Smith, of Woodland Park; brother, Kenneth Puvogel of California; life partner, Tim Nazzaro of Sparta; stepmother, Terry Puvogel of Uniondale, N.Y., and her grandchildren, Zachary, Paige, Emily and Alyssa Carroll.

A memorial Mass will be held Saturday, Nov. 14, 2015, at 1 p.m. at Immaculate Conception RC Church 75 Church St. Franklin. A repast will follow at the church’s Lyceum Hall from 2-4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to OSCAR (One Step Closer Animal Rescue) P.O. Box 248 Sparta, NJ 07871.
