Dorothy Kopec

Dorothy Kopec of Highland Lakes, N.J., died after a short illness at St. Anthony Community Hospital in Warwick on Saturday, Dec. 3, 2016. She was 93.
Born to Michael and Mae Lukach, she lived in Garfield, N.J., for many years before moving to the Barry Lakes section of Vernon Town,hip, N.J,, in 1965.
Dorothy first worked as a banquet waitress for the Cotillion in Garfield and then owned and operated The Plain and Fancy Store in Highland Lakes, N.J., for 28 years, retiring in 2002.
Dorothy is predeceased by her husband, Albert Kopec, and her sons, Albert Kopec Jr. and Kenneth Kopec, and is the devoted mother of Kathleen Korsakoff and her husband Dennis of Barry Lakes, N.J. Cherished by four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Dear sister of John Lukach of Maryland and Emily Mulzet of Toms River, N.J.
