Ernest T. Cosh

    Ernest T. Cosh of Wantage Township, N.J., passed away at his residence on Sunday Dec. 5, 2021. He was 88.

    Ernest was born on March 30, 1933, in Wantage and was a lifelong resident of Wantage.

    He owned and operated the Pine Hill Farm. He was very proud to be a dairy farmer. He was a farmer through and through. He enjoyed woodworking and making things, and his April Fool’s jokes were right on.

    He was predeceased by his parents, Benjamin and Henrietta (Van Horn) Cosh; his siblings, Florence Chapin, Joseph, Louis, Robert, Percy, and James Cosh; and brother-in-law, Charles Bailey, sister-in-law, Evelyn Cosh and son-in-law, Raymond Eckert.

    He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Marilyn (Hills) Cosh; his children, Benjamin Cosh and his wife, Caroline, of Branchville, N.J., Theodore Cosh and his wife, Amy, of Wantage, Jean Ann Eckert of Wantage, and Chester Cosh and his wife, Robin, of Wantage; his cherished nine grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; his siblings, Jack Cosh of Gardiner, N.Y., Adeline Bailey of North Valley, N.Y., and Edward Cosh and his wife, Kathy, of New Vernon, N.Y., and his many nieces and nephews.

    Relatives and friends will be received on Wednesday, Dec. 8, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Ferguson Funeral Home 27 Third Street, Sussex, N.J. The funeral service at the funeral home on Thursday, Dec. 9, at 1 p.m., with the interment committal service at Clove Cemetery, Wantage Township.
