    Florence E. Stephens, 89, died Wednesday, March 12, 2014, at Kindred Hospital in Dover. Mrs. Stephens, daughter of the late Charles and Florence Ringle was born in Hawthorne June 3, 1924. She resided in Wharton before moving to the Stockholm section of Hardyston in 1963.

    Mrs. Stephens was an English and Humanities Teacher at Morris Hills High School. For many years she served as the director for the school plays. She was a member of the Dover College Club, Friends of The Library-Dorothy E. Henry Library in McAfee and was a Past President of the Snufftown Garden Club.

    Mrs. Stephens is survived by her husband David Stephens; daughter, Susan Stephens and her fiancé, John Tunis, of McAfee; sister, Carol Jewett of Swanton, Vt.; granddaughter, Jaclyn Tassey, nephews, Corey and Jeff Jewett and great niece, Allison Jewett.

    A funeral service will be held Monday, March 17, 2014, at 11 a.m. at F. John Ramsey Funeral Home, 1 Main St., Franklin. Interment will follow at North Hardyston Cemetery.
