Jeanette 'Jan' M. Loughery

Jeanette “Jan” M. Loughery, age 78, passed away on Monday, June 27, 2016, at Newton Memorial Hospital. Born in Paterson to the late Walter and Isabel (Shepherd) Struble, Mrs. Loughery had lived in Bloomingdale before moving to Sussex County 48 years ago. She had been employed as a teller for Midlantic Bank in Newton and had retired from the Sussex-Wantage Board of Education 20 years ago as a bookkeeper.
Mrs. Loughery was a member of St. Monica R.C. Church in Sussex and their Leisure Club, member and past president of Sussex Woman’s Club, and member of the Sussex Over 50 Club. She was predeceased by her husband, Dan Loughery, in 2006. Mrs. Loughery is survived by her three sons, Timothy J. Loughery and his wife, Brenda, of Wantage, Brian Loughery of Quakertown, PA, and Michael Loughery of Wantage; her brother, Walter Struble, Jr. of Pompton Lakes; and her grandchildren, Zachary Loughery and his wife, Mercy, of Evanston, Ill., and Luke Loughery of
Wantage. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 6, 2016, at the Pinkel Funeral Home, 31 Bank Street (Route 23), Sussex. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. at St. Monica R.C. Church, 33 Unionville Avenue, Sussex, NJ 07461. Entombment Immaculate Conception Cemetery Mausoleum, North Church Road, Hardyston.
Friends may pay their respects to the family on Tuesday, July 5, 2016, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
