Joseph D’Errico Jr. passed away suddenly but peacefully at his home in the Barry Lakes section of Vernon Township. on Monday, Dec. 15, 2025.

Born in Jersey City to Joseph and Theresa D’Errico Sr., Joe grew up in Guttenberg, N.J. After marrying his high school sweetheart, Michelle, he settled in Carlstadt, N.J., where they raised their family before moving “to the country” just a year ago.

Joe worked for many years as a truck driver with United Rentals in Little Ferry. He was a devoted family man who treasured time spent with his loved ones, especially family trips to the beach. A talented drummer, Joe played in several bands and shared his love of music with many. Together with his wife, he also owned and operated DKutz Vinylz Custom Decals.

Joe was predeceased by his sister-in-law, Erica D’Errico. He is survived by his beloved wife, Michelle D’Errico; his daughter, Hailey D’Errico; his son, Joseph D’Errico III;; his parents, Joseph and Theresa D’Errico; his brothers, Daniel D’Errico and Anthony D’Errico; his mother-in-law Helen Dobridge; his sister-in-law, Natasha Dimick and her husband, Gary; his newborn niece, Aria Rose (whom Joe was going to be the Godfather of); as well as many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Joe will be remembered for his great love and devotion to his family.

Cremation will be private. Arrangements are under the care of Ferguson-Vernon Funeral Home, 241 Route 94, Vernon, NJ. A celebration of Joe’s life will be held at a later date.
