Joseph N. Byra

Joseph N. Byra, 62 died Tuesday March 11, 2014 at St. Joseph’s Wayne Hospital in Wayne, NJ. Mr. Byra, son of the late Michael and Albina Byra was born in Kingston, PA August 22, 1951. He resided in Garfield, N.J. before moving to the Highland Lakes section of Vernon in 1985.

Mr. Byra was a self employed carpenter and owner of Joe Byra Home Repairs in Highland Lakes.

He was predeceased by his wife, Paula S. Byra in 2013 and 2 brothers, Michael and Peter Byra. Mr. Byra is survived by his sons, Robert Byra of Stockholm and Joseph N. Byra and his wife, Rory, of Vernon; sisters, Sylvia Brown of California and Darlene Mould of Denville; brother, Vincent Byra of Garfield and granddaughters, Elizabeth Rose Byra, Catherine Margaret Byra and Kaylin Emily Byra.

Funeral services will be held Monday March 17, 2014 at 9:15 a.m. from Ferguson-Vernon Funeral Home 241 Rt. 94 Vernon to Our Lady of Fatima RC Church, Highland Lakes, for a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Private cremation will follow.
