Katharina Kallai

Katharina Kallai, age 72, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013 at Newton Medical Center. Born on Sept. 22, 1941, in Yugoslavia to the late Mathias and Maria Wirth, Mrs. Kallai lived in Wayne before moving to Sussex County 13 years ago. She was employed at the former Bradley’s Department Store in Totowa as a manager before her retirement.

She is survived by her husband, Nandor; her two daughters, Kathy Giamanco and her husband, Gary, of Sussex and Maria Kallai of Wanaque; her two sons, Stephen Kallai and his wife, Eileen, of Stroudsburg, Pa., andJoseph Kallai; her sister, Paula Haggerty of Washington, N.J.; her grandchildren; Nick, Matt, Danielle, Kristina, Brandyn, and Justin; and her great grandchildren, Thomas and MaKayla. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 5, 2014, at the Pinkel Funeral Home, 31 Bank Street (Route 23), Sussex. Friends may pay their respects to the

family from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. prior to the funeral service on Sunday at the funeral home.
