Kathleen Ann Boehm, 60 years old, died peacefully after a long illness at Karen Ann Quinlan Home for Hospice on Sunday, Nov. 20, 2016. Born to Frank and Dorothy Weissman in Elizabeth, N.J., she was raised in Winfield Park and then lived in Hawthorne before moving to Vernon Twp., N.J., 32 years ago.
Kathleen earned her BA from Kean College and her MA from Montclair State College in Speech and Language Pathology. She taught in the Winfield School District for 2 years, the Hawthorne School District for 2 years, the Oakland School District for 6 years, Walnut Ridge Elementary School in Vernon Twp., N.J., for 9 years and most recently the Pines Lake Elementary School in Wayne, NJ for 8 years before retiring in May 2014. She was a parishioner of St. Francis deSales RC Church, Vernon Twp., NJ.
Kathleen is the beloved wife of Walter Thomas Boehm of Vernon Twp., N.J. Devoted mother of Kevin Thomas Boehm of Hamburg, N.J., Allison Margaret Boehm of Stockholm, N.J., and David Matthew Boehm and his wife, Haley of Houston, Texas. Dear sister of William Weissman and his wife, Colleen of Wheaton, IL.
The family will receive their friends at St. Francis deSales RC Church, 614 Route 517, Vernon, N.J., on Friday, Nov. 25, 2016 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will commence at the church on Friday at 1 p.m. Interment to follow at Glenwood Cemetery, Vernon Twp., NJ.
