Kathleen Farrell

    Kathleen Farrell, age 65, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2018, with her two sisters by her side. Born in Kearny to the late John P. and Isabell M. (Campbell) Farrell, Kathleen lived in the Sussex County and Port Jervis, New York areas for most of her life. She graduated from Glassboro State College, majoring in Early Childhood Education. Kathleen was a kindergarden teacher for the Clifton E. Lawrence School for the Sussex-Wantage School District for 35 years, retiring in 2010.
    She had a deep love for reading and loved books. Kathleen was very involved with the Friends of the Sussex-Wantage Library, a member of the local teacher’s book club, and was very active in the Sussex County Farm and Horse Show, where she served as the Director of Parking and Passes. Kathleen thoroughly enjoyed the time she spent at the Fair and felt as if everyone were her second family.
    She is survived by her two sisters, Maureen Farrell Wisnewski and her husband Steve of Marietta, Georgia and Eileen Clontz of Absecon; her nephews, Steven and Alex; and her niece, Katie.
    Friends may pay their respects to the family on Sunday, Dec. 2, 2018 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Pinkel Funeral Home, 31 Bank Street (Route 23), Sussex. Interment at 11 a.m. at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington on Monday, Dec. 3, 2018. A celebration of Kathy’s life will be held in the spring. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations may be offered in Kathleen’s memory to the Agricultural Learning Center at the Fairgrounds (NJSF-ALCF), P.O.
