Lorraine J. Moscatelli, 88, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, May 9, 2026. Born in Passaic to the late John and Lillian (Zettle) Pitters, Lorraine lived in Saddle Brook, where she was a self-employed beautician. After retiring, she moved to Hawley, Pa., where she lived for 15 years and recently moved to Sussex County to be with her daughter.

Lorraine was a kind and gentle woman who found joy in life’s simple pleasures and brought comfort and warmth to those around her.

An avid reader, Lorraine could often be found with a good book in hand, happily lost in its pages. She also loved to crochet, creating thoughtful handmade gifts and treasured keepsakes for family and friends. Her quiet creativity and caring nature were woven into everything she made.

Lorraine appreciated the simple things in life — time spent with loved ones, a peaceful afternoon, a good story, and small everyday moments that others sometimes overlooked. She lived with grace, humility, and a deep appreciation for home and family.

She was predeceased by her husband, William. Lorraine is survived by her sons, William Moscatelli and his wife, JoAnne of New Caney, Texas, and Robert Moscatelli of Hawley, Pa.; her daughter, Deborah Sisco of Wantage; her sister, Janet Wilson of Saddle Brook; 13 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Private cremation services have been entrusted to Pinkel Funeral Home, 31 Bank Street (Route 23) in Sussex. Online condolences may be offered to the family on www.PinkelFuneralHome.com.
