Marguerite 'Sandy' Grogan

    Marguerite “Sandy” Grogan, age 72, passed away on Tuesday, March 25, 2014. Born in Jersey City to the late Thomas and Agatha (Sharkey) Swenson, Sandy had lived in Ramsey, where she graduated high school and had summered in the Lake Tamarack section of Stockholm before moving to Sussex County in 1966. She had been employed at Karl’s Appliance in Fairfield before her retirement. Sandy was predeceased by her daughter, Michelle Mendiburu on July 3, 2009. She is survived by her two sons, Michael T. Mendiburu and his wife, Heather, of Wantage and Thomas T. Mendiburu and his wife, Toni, of Saddle River; her daughter, Teri Obser and her husband, Rich, of Montague; and her 17 grandchildren, Andrea, Brenna, Benjamin, Leah, Austin, Caleb, Locke, Justin, Owen, Aiden, Allison, Jillian, Cole, Monica, Marcelle, Callie, and Ethan. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 31, 2014 at the Pinkel Funeral Home, 31 Bank Street (Route 23), Sussex, NJ.

    Interment Clove Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects to the family on Sunday, March 30, 2014, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
