Marilyn L. Munn, age 81, peacefully passed away on Monday, Feb. 24, 2014 at Newton Medical Center. Born in Passaic to the late Edwin Vennard and Margaret Holster Vennard, Mrs. Munn lived in Clifton and Pompton Lakes before moving to Sussex County in 1967. She recently moved to Sparta within the past two years. Mrs. Munn had been employed as a bookkeeper for 15 years at the former Morley's Shirt Company in Franklin, retiring when she was 64. She worked at the Voter Registry in Vernon and retired recently. She was a member of the Holy Counselor Lutheran Church in Vernon and was active in preparing the church's newsletter. She was a member of the Vernon Senior Group, the Red Hat Society, the High Point Garden Club, the National Park Conservation Association, and volunteered at the Harvest House in Sussex. Mrs. Munn enjoyed line dancing and even performed at the Sussex County Farm and Horse Show. Mrs. Munn was predeceased by her husband, Douglas in 1993.

She is survived by her three sons, Bruce Munn of New Woodstock, New York, Craig Munn of Lakeville, PA, and Douglas Munn of Vernon; her daughter, Gail Porcelli of Dumfries, Va.; and 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Funeral services will held on Friday, Feb. 28, 2014, at 11 a.m. at the Pinkel Funeral Home, 31 Bank Street (Route 23),

Sussex. Interment will follow at Clove Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects to the family on Thursday, February 27, 2014 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
