    Matthew Aaron Taylor, 34 years old, died unexpectedly on Saturday, April 8, 2017. Born to Thomas M. and Kathleen L. Taylor in Suffern, N.Y., he has been a lifelong resident of Highland Lakes, N.J.
    Matthew was a graduate of Vernon Twp. High School, class of 2000 and played soccer for the school. He was involved in all aspects of the high school music program especially the Jazz Express. He worked in retail and merchandising for many years. Matthew attained the rank of Eagle Scout with Troop 404, Vernon, N.J, was an accomplished drummer and studied at the Drummers Collective in New York City, N.Y. His many hobbies included salt-water fishtanks, airsoft guns, flying drones and videogaming which he made many worldwide friendships through. He was an avid fan of world-class soccer and a dedicated pet lover.
    Matthew is the beloved son of Thomas M. and Kathleen L. Taylor of Highland Lakes, N.J. Devoted brother of Paul T. Taylor and his wife, Angela, of Redlands, Calif.
    The family will receive their friends at Ferguson-Vernon Funeral Home, 241 Route 94 (1 Vanderhoof Court for GPS), Vernon, N.J. on Wednesday, April 12, 2017, from 10 to 11 a.m. Funeral service to commence at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
