Michael Christopher Langan of Jacksonville, Fla., formerly of Wantage, passed suddenly on Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2022, at his home. He was 35.

Born on Oct. 10, 1987, in Paterson, Mike was raised in Wantage.

He was assigned to the U.S. Army 555th Engineer Brigade at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash., and most recently worked at Hudson Trailer Co. of Jacksonville as a craftsman.

Mike was a happy-go-lucky kid who had a great sense of humor, loved “The Three Stooges” and rarely missed an opportunity to mug for the camera. He was a fan of the New York Jets. He loved ‘60s music, especially the Beatles. Mike was a fan of classic autos and his favorite classic car was the 1970 Chevelle SS.

He will always be remembered for his quick wit and his love of food.

Mike was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Orville and Louise Langan of Haledon, and maternal grandparents, Richard and Susan Harriott of Riverdale. He was the son of Clifford and Susan Langan of Leland, N.C., formerly 35-year residents of Wantage. He is also survived by a daughter, Eva Rose Langan of Dingmans, Pa.; a twin sister, Lauren Pearce of Milford, Pa.; and brothers, David of Kingsland, Ga., and Mark of Warrenton, Va.; and several nephews and nieces.

A fund will be established to provide future educational funding for his daughter, Eva. Checks can be made out to the family and either mailed directly to the family or to the funeral home.

A funeral will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 16 at the Pinkel Funeral Home, 31 Bank St. (Route 23), Sussex. Friends may pay their respects to the family before the service from 4 to 7 pm. at the funeral home.
