Philip B. King
Philip B. King, 73, passed away at Hackensack University Medical Center, Hackensack, N.J. Philip was born in Dinkirk, N.Y., on Aug. 21, 1942, to the late August and Mary Jane (nee Cheatle) King. He was a resident of Vernon Township the last 30 years.
Philip was the owner operator of Signals Corp., Sussex, N.J., for many years retiring in 2007.
Philip was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Gerald C. Morrone.
Philip is survived by his wife of 51 years Geraldine “Jerry” (nee Morrone) King, and his daughters, Melissa King and Tracy Astwood and her husband, E. Gordon Astwood, and his cherished grandchildren, Caleb, Emma, Noah and Victoria, and his sisters, Margaret Pierce and her husband, Robert; Suzanne Connolly and her husband, John; and Jeanne Morris and her husband, Thomas, and his nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian burial service on Saturday, Dec. 12, at 10 a.m. at St. Francis de Sales RC Church 614 Rt. 517, Vernon, NJ. Cremation is private. In lieu of flowers, donations to the John Thoreau Cancer Center at Hackensack University Medical Center 92 2nd St., Hackensack, NJ 07601.
