Scott Patrick Thompson of Vernon Township, N.J., passed away unexpectedly in Elizabeth, N.J., on Thursday, Dec. 3, 2020. He was 46.
Born to Ret. Major Richard Thompson and Lillian Thompson (Nee Lum) in Teaneck, N.J., he has been a lifelong resident of Vernon Township.
Scott was a 1992 graduate of Vernon Township High School and worked as a machinery operator for many businesses in the Elizabeth area. He took great joy in drawing, cooking and was a dedicated animal lover. Scott is best remembered as a giving person who would always give of his own for others.
Scott is the cherished father of Katrina Nielsen of Reading, Pa.; devoted son of Ret. Major Richard Thompson and Lillian Thompson of Vernon Township; dear brother of Richard Thompson and his wife, Brandy, of Vernon Township; and loving uncle of Allison and Hannah.
