Thomas C. Westbrook

    Thomas C. Westbrook, 58, died unexpectedly Saturday Dec. 28, 2013, at his home in Wantage. Mr. Westbrook, son of the late Francis and Jeanette (Nichols) Westbrook was born in Morristown on Nov. 9, 1955. He grew up in Morristown and had resided in Lafayette for 14 years, moving to the Beemerville section of Wantage in 2007.

    Mr. Westbrook was the owner/operator of TC Westbrook Trucking in Morristown. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, and was a member of Hillside Fire Department in Morristown, where he also was a member of the heavy rescue unit which responded to and assisted the N.J. State Police. Mr. Westbrook was also an avid coin collector.

    He was predeceased by 2 brothers and a sister, Francis Westbrook Jr., Gregory Westbrook and Lucille Ortwein. Mr. Westbrook is survived by his wife, Mary (Leavitt) Westbrook; daughter, Lindsay Westbrook at home; sister, Janice Strowbridge of Morristown; several nieces and nephews as well as several cats.

    A visitation will be held at F. John Ramsey Funeral Home, 1 Main St., Franklin, on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 from 3-7 p.m. Cremation will be private.
