Walter J. Crane Sr. of West Milford, N.J., passed away on Thursday, Oct. 28, 2021. He was 89.
He was born on Aug. 17, 1932, in Newfoundland, N.J., to the late Mary (nee Utter) and John Crane.
Walt married Elizabeth (nee White) in 1960 and resided in Oak Ridge, N.J., where they raised their family.
He and his family were longtime parishioners of the United Methodist Church of Newfoundland, N.J.
Walt was employed for 55 years with F.S. Little Trucking and 8 years for Rich Kimble Excavating.
He will best be remembered for enjoying the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. In his spare time he like to watch stock car racing.
Walt is survived by his beloved wife, Elizabeth; his loving children, Walter J. Crane Jr. and his wife, Sherry, and Katheryn M. Vigh; his cherished grandchildren, Dakota and Taylor Vigh; as well as ten nieces and five nephews.
Visitation was held Oct. 31 at the Stickle-Soltesz Funeral Home, Newfoundland. A prayer service was held Nov. 1 at the funeral home, with interment immediately following at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Oak Ridge.
