Shirhall completes basic for Army National Guard

Pfc. Robert Michael Shirhall, 29, of Highland Lakes, completed Basic Combat Training at Fort Knox, Ky., on April 30. Shirhall is the son of Pansy and Gerald Shirhall of Hewitt. He is a 1997 graduate of West Milford High School and a 1998 graduate of Lincoln Technical Institute. He will return home to his wife, Erin, and their sons, Gavin, 6, and Mason, 4, after 10 weeks of individual training at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., on July 24.
