Hayley Lencsak of Sparta was named to the dean’s List for the fall 2009 semester at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Conn. Four areas students were recently named to the dean’s list for the fall 2009 semester Bucknell University in Pennsylvania. They are: Sparta residents Vincent M. Cinotti and Kaytlin A. Senatore; and Andover residents Erin E. Mershon and Richard V. Natelli. Kenneth Hanley of Vernon was named to the dean’s list for the fall 2009 semester at Montclair State University where he is majoring in film writing. John Theese of Wantage was named to the dean’s list for fall 2009 semester at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta. A group of area students were recently named to the dean’s list for the fall 2009 semester at King’s College in Wlkes-Barre, Pa. They are: Vincent Laconti and Amanda Peterson of Highland Lakes; Christine Guarino of Oak Ridge; Tessa Destefano, Roseanne Freykar and Elsbeth Williams of Wantage ; Richard Rogers of Blairstown; Loren Kessell and Ryan Oakley of Hackettstown; Patrick Maloney of Lafayette ; Patrick Gonabe of Lake Hopatcong; Daniel Simpson of Newton; and Jonathan Ferrie and Danielle Murray of Sparta. Meredith Watts of Hamburg was named to the dean’s list for the fall 2009 Semester at Montclair State University, where she is majoring in accounting. Two students were named to the dean’s list for the fall 2009 semester at Lebanon Valley College, in Annville, Pa.: Kathleen E. Brennan of Highland Lakes, a sophomore with an undeclared/open major; and MaryKatherine E. Mitchell of Sussex, a senior studying psychology and religion. Lindsey Daly of Andover has been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2009 semester at Ramapo College. She is a sophmore majoring in history while working to obtain her teaching certificate. Cristina Garafola, daughter of Lynn and Glenn Garafola of Sparta, has been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2009 semster at Hamilton College. A junior majoring in Chinese and world politics, she is a graduate of Sparta High School. Kevin Grant (Class of 2011) of Fredon was named to the honor roll for the first marking period 2009-10 at Saint Peter’s Preparatory School, in Jersey City. He attained first honors. Danielle D’Avanzo of Sparta was named to the Park School’s dean list at Ithaca College for the fall 2009 semester. She is a journalism major and also received the “Best emerging sports photograhic award” and “Dream team award” for the multimedia online section of The Ithacan, the college’s newspaper.
