188 golfers play for charity at High Point Golf Course

    Montague-A record $34,000 was raised for the new Emergency Room project at Saint Clare's Hospital in Sussex from a record field of 188 golfers who participated in the recent 27th Johnny Rizzo Golf Outing at High Point Country Club in Montague. The annual outing has raised more than a half-million dollars for the hospital. Chief Executive Officer of Saint Clare's Health System Foundation Joseph Vitale extended his congratulations and thanks to event Honorary Chairman Jack Rizzo, and Co-Chairmen Bill Snouffer, general manager of Franklin-Sussex Auto Mall in Sussex and Bill Nestor, president of Country Insurance of Sussex and Vernon. Vitale said, "Their extraordinary efforts made the 2004 outing hugely successful." Executive Director of Saint Clare's Hospital in Sussex Stephen Bocskocsky added, "Due to the extraordinary dedication of these three men and the golf outing committee, Saint Clare's has an infusion of vital funds that will help us continue to serve the health care needs of the community." The outing is held annually in honor of Rizzo's late son, Johnny, who perished in an automobile accident.
