Advance register for nature writing workshop on Appalachian Trail

Enjoy outdoor writing and photography on a section of the Appalachian Trail in Augusta on Sunday, Oct. 18, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon with writer/publisher Mary Jasch and photographer/outdoorsman Lance Casper. See lots of native plants, birds and other wildlife (all from above on the boardwalk). The emphasis is on writing but those who bring cameras will get pointers on taking photos to document their writing and to use as reference. The program is geared to beginning writers and anyone who wants to sharpen their skills of observation while enjoying nature. This program combines nature exploration with creative arts. The cost is $35 per person and includes a three hour workshop on trail and an hour and a half follow-up indoor group review. Class size is limited. Light rain or shine. Advance registration required.
