Amelia Bedelia author visits Franklin School

“Amelia Bedelia” recently visited Franklin Borough School students, courtesy of the Franklin Home and School Association. “Amelia,” aka Sandy Bargiel, the school’s media specialist and Herman Parish, author of the popular Amelia Bedelia book series, enlightened the students on how his aunt, Peggy Parish, was the original author of these humorous books for children. After his aunt’s death in 1988, Parish continued the series and has written an additional 17 Amelia Bedelia books. Parish gave a presentation to students and autographed copies of his books.
