Art therapy classes for bereaved children

Newton — The Joseph T. Quinlan Bereavement Center will hold a four-week series of classes for children ages 6 to 12 dealing with the death of a loved one, starting on Thursday, March 18. Parents and/or guardians are asked to take part in a simultaneous support group to learn about, and discuss, the issues of grief they and their children may be experiencing. Classes will be held at the Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice, located at 99 Sparta Ave., in Newton, on Thursdays, March 18, 25, April 1, and 8, from 6 to 8 p.m. A $60 fee will help cover the cost of materials and supplies.
