Attend the consolidation meeting
I recently received a flyer explaining the final report of the Joint Consolidation Study Commission. This report pertains to the join consolidation between Wantage Township and Sussex Borough. Arthur Jacobs seems to be the only one who has his head on straight about this decision. Wantage Township is paying more than enough taxes for the services we get. Why should we have our taxes increase $67 while Sussex Borough’s will be decreased by $402? How about everyone’s taxes be decreased equally since we all will be as one? Do I surmise another bailout here? Is Wantage Township a community or the bank of Sussex? It is bad enough that we have a certain group, if given a free rein, would spend the taxpayer’s money for their own capital gains. People of Wantage read Arthur Jacobs’ minority report on the said flyer. Come to the town meeting at the High Point High School on Oct. 19. Stand up and be heard. It is your tax money . Find out the real facts. My hat is off to Arthur Jacobs. Rocco Russo Wantage
