Hamburg — Motorcyclists rode off into the, well it was a rainy day, but big-hearted bikers helped The Chiropractic Health Center of Hamburg make its 8th Motorcycle Benefit Fundraiser a success this year. The Sept. 27 event donated all its proceeds to Deborah Heart & Lung Foundation and The NJ Daredevils Special Hockey Team for Children with Autism & Other Disabilities. In all, the event raised $4,000 for the two causes. The run is put on by chiropractor Dr. Peter Karas and his staff, who point out that despite inclement weather, they had a good turnout. Sponsors for the event included N.J. State Police and Port Jervis, N.Y., Police. The ride ended at the Hamburg Fire Pavilion for a barbecue and pig roast including food donated by local businesses with music, vendors and prizes.
