Blood drives scheduled

New Jersey Blood Services will be conducting blood drives at the following locations: Monday, Feb. 8, at ShopRite, Route 206, Newton, from 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m Sunday, Feb. 14, at St. Jude the Apostle, Route 94 and Beaver Run Road, Hamburg, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 15, at Sussex County Community College, 1 College Hill Road, Newton, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Blood drive cancellations due to recent storms, coupled with unusually high demands from regional hospitals, have impacted Rh-negative blood supplies, especially type O-negative.
