BUSINESS NOTEBOOK
Samuel Burlum of Extreme Energy Solutions/Vigholator Motorsports Celebrating Release of new eco-friendly technologies 150 Main Street Ogdensburg, NJ 973-209-3450 What is your favorite book or movie? Why? I don’t have a favorite book. I do however appreciate Ralph Waldo Emerson’s “Self Reliance” and Henry David Thoureau’s “Civil Disobediance.” Movies I love are “O Brother, Where Art Thou,” and “Flash of Genius,” for I think we as human beings all have a creative fundamental side to us that we just take for granted and don’t always use to our fullest potential. What do you do when you are not working? I’m almost always working in one way, shape or form. I enjoy driving a race car at Orange County Fair Speedway and organic gardening. I find pleasure in taking care of my home and spending time with my significant other. Why do you think the paper should write about you? We are doing things no one else is. We are involved in cutting edge ideas and innovations that can help most people and their businesses. I feel that I am a representative of the regular educated blue collar guy that just followed his dreams and desires and never let anything negative get in his way. Lynette Skok of Harmony Salon Celebrating 2 years 5711 Berkshire Valley Rd. Milton, NJ 973-697-0077 What is the most hectic time of your day and why? I find it challenging to answer the telephone when I am busy, but I have to answer the phone or I wouldn’t be busy! What is your favorite book or movie? I have lots of favorite movies. The latest is “Knowing.” My favorite book would be the Bible as it comes to life along with my bible study friends. If you were too big to fail and your business received money from the federal government, what would you do with it? Pay off the bank!
