College to host business expo and mini job fair April 22
Newton. Sussex County Community College will open its annual Business Expo and Mini Job Fair to students and community members seeking employment, networking and résumé guidance.
Sussex County Community College will hold its seventh annual Business Expo and Mini Job Fair on Wednesday, April 22, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Student Center Theater and Writing Center on its campus in Newton.
The free event is open to the public and will connect participants with local employers, internship opportunities and career development resources. Organizers said attendees will also have opportunities to network with alumni, business owners and fellow students interested in entrepreneurship and professional growth.
The college’s Business Education Department will be available throughout the event to provide guidance on career planning and professional development.
A keynote presentation scheduled for 11:30 a.m. in the Student Center Theater will focus on building an effective résumé. A separate résumé writing workshop will follow from 12:30 to 1 p.m. in the Library Science Building, where participants will receive step-by-step instruction on preparing a strong résumé.
Light refreshments will be served, and no pre-registration is required.
