The Tracks Deli wants area residents to know they are instituting an absolutely free “Hot Dog Lunch” program during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The program, started by owners Kevin and Scott avails a free lunch to area students, seniors or anyone, no questions asked.

According to the deli’s co-owner Kevin, the “Hot Dog Lunch” menu will change on a daily basis and will not just include hot dogs but other menu favorites. The program will continue through the two weeks of school shutdown and longer if need be.

The deli is hoping resident volunteers will step up to deliver the helpful lunches to youngsters and the deli is awaiting confirmation on senior lunch delivery.

Counter servers Mary and Loretta stress the healing power of soup, noting that the deli’s excellent homemade soups are Cream of Turkey, Beef Barley, Escarole and Bean and Split Pea and Ham just to name a few.

Kevin and Scott wish to thank all who donated to the “Hot Dog Lunch” program, especially the Daily Bean and area residents Kathy, Janessa, Julian, John, Bill, Craig and Jim and others.

The Tracks Deli welcomes all and is open Monday through Friday from 5 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturdays from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Sunday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
