Car show benefits 9/11 fund

The Pocono Mountain Corvette Club donated $1,200 to the 9/11 Monument Fund from their annual Corvette car show held in October at the Sussex County Vo-Tech. From left, Sussex County Freeholder/Paterson Fire Battalion Chief Glen Vetrano (9/11 Memorial Committee co-chair), Ralph Smith (PMCC event co-chair), County School Superintendent Barry Worman (PMCC event co-chair) and Det. Lt. Michael Richards (Newton PD/past President PBA 138 and 9/11 Memorial Committee co-chair. The 9/11 Memorial Committee plans to use the funds to support the annual 9/11 ceremonies as well as for the creation of an annual scholarship for students attending SCCC who want to pursue a career in public safety.
