Students at Wallkill Valley Regional High School took up the challenge to fill a bus with donated items for the Sussex County Social Services Food Pantry recently. Ten area schools have joined this friendly competition initiated by the County Freeholders and dubbed Champions for Charity Challenge. On Thursday, Jan, 14, it was Wallkill Valley’s turn and the entire school stepped up to help. Organized by Wallkill Valley’s Mike Harris and the student council, with the assistance of Laura Donahue and the Kindness and Justice Club, the students gathered donations and then worked together in a human chain to load up the bus.
