Clean and sudsy

They should have called it a kid wash. The clear skies Saturday were a perfect reason to get the car washed and the Ogdensburg School eighth-grade class was ready with the hoses and buckets. “The money raised at the car wash will be used to help pay for the class formal dance, T-shirts and yearbooks,” said event chairwomen Sandy McCurry. “Business has been good with about 40 cars washed so far,” she reported at mid-day. Despite temperatures that were in the mid-40s in the morning, the strong sunshine by afternoon caused water and soap suds battles to break out among the students.
